Microneedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy), involves creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin's surface using a device with fine needles. These micro-injuries trigger the skin's natural healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which are crucial for maintaining skin firmness and elasticity to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Using the imedpen x, Jo offers treatments to improve Ageing Skin, reduce Hyperpigmentation and reduce Enlarged Pores. Microneedling is only recommended to people who consistently look after their skin well at home, who follow the aftercare advice and who use an SPF on a daily basis.
Every standard Microneedling treatment is £100 and includes a cleanse, exfoliation/peel and serum infused sheet mask to suit the concerns being treated. With your course of chosen treatments you'll take home a Triple-weighted Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Moisturiser to use after every treatment. Please see below for individual treatments:
Ageing Skin: For concerns with lines, wrinkles, sagging skin. Microneedling helps stimulate collagen, improve skin texture, enhance home skincare product absorption and promotes skin tightening.
Each treatment is £100 and for ageing skin it is recommend to have a course of 4-6 treatments in 6-8 week intervals with follow-up appointments as required.
For even better results, you can choose one of these options:
Radio Frequency & Micronedling (£140) to help create firmer, smoother skin
PDRN Polynucleotides & Microneedling (£140) Formulated for skin rejuvenation, making it ideal for addressing expression lines, deep wrinkles, scars, loose skin, volume loss and signs of photoageing.
Exosomes & Microneedling (£200) A high concentration of synthetic exosomes to treat the skin from inside the cells, restoring the tissues and remarkable enhancing skin health. It adapts to the needs of each person, not only rejuvenating the skin but also improving specific conditions i.e. collagen production, tissue repair, antioxidant action, biochemical mediators, hyaluronic acid production and free radical scavenger.
After the Microneedling course, monthly Radio Frequency treatments are recommended.
Hyperpigmentation: Microneedling is effective for uneven skin tone, freckles, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation & lentigines (age/sun spots). Microneedling works in 4 ways to reduce the production of hyperpigmentation and melasma. The specific release of MGF (melanocyte growth factor), KGF (keratinocyte growth factor) and EGF (epidermal growth factor) enable regulation and rebalancing to:
Normalise signalling between keratinocytes and melanocytes
Normalise differentiation of melanocytes
Normalise and rebalance the melanogenesis process
Enhance absorption of active ingredients
Each treatment is £100. A course of 4-6 treatments is recommended or until desired results are achieved. Treatments can be taken 2-4 weeks apart. You can enhance the effects by having:
Mesotherapy Brightening: a cocktail of 3 biomimetic peptides, vitamin C and a-Arbutin to further enhance a brighter skin and even the skin tone as well as reducing scarring and offers protection from sunlight (£125)
Consider using the recommended Meline Caucasian/Ethnic depigmenting day and night serum/emulsion (£120)
Enlarged Pores: For noticeable, enlarged pores, particularly on the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin areas. They can become more noticeable due to various factors such as: excess sebum, genetics, ageing, sun damage & clogged pores. Microneedling induces the production of collagen and elastin, which strengthens the dermal matrix and reduces the diameter of enlarged pores. This is achieved through:
Collagen Synthesis
Elastin Production
Dermal Remodelling
Regulation of Sebaceous Glands
Reduction of Comedones & Seborrhea
Each treatment is £100. A course of 6-8 treatments are needed or until desired results are achieved. Treatments are taken at 6-8 weekly intervals. Maintenance treatments as necessary.
